The Battle of Badr
English
The Battle of Badr was fought on a fateful day between Shirk and Haqq.
Only one could have its way with the help of Allah.
The Muslims overcame and from that day on everything would change.
In the second year of Hijrah, the month of Ramadan,
Near the wells of Badr, at the break of dawn,
Muslims saw the pagans across the barren sand.
Driven from their homes, it was time to take a stand.
Our Prophet came with 313 of his best,
To a thousand Meccans to put them to the test.
And the fate of Islam was hanging on the line.
Just imagine the fight.
The Battle of Badr was fought on a fateful day between Shirk and Haqq.
Only one could have its way with the help of Allah.
The Muslims overcame and from that day on everything would change.
Ali, Hamza, Ubaidah, the champions of Islam,
First to face the enemy,
The opponents with their swords in hand.
And after that, the arrows began to shower down,
As the hooves of the horses thundered on the ground.
Can you picture the Prophet in his battle gown?
With the gleam of his armor, spear in his hand,
And the tail of his turban streaking through the sky,
As he leads the believers into enemy land.
The Battle of Badr was fought on a fateful day between Shirk and Haqq.
Only one could have its way with the help of Allah.
The Muslims overcame and from that day on everything would change.
The companions went forth with full trust in Allah.
Victory or Jannah,
Was the only victory,
Was the only victory,
Was the only victory,
Were the only things they saw.
When the battle grew heavy, the Prophet went to pray,
To Allah that He aid His religion on that day.
Now imagine the angels on their flying steeds,
Swooping down from above, Jibreel in the lead.
Can you feel,
Can you feel them rush to attack at lightning speed?
Sent from Allah to strengthen those who believe.
The Battle of Badr was fought on a fateful day between Shirk and Haqq.
Only one could have its way with the help of Allah.
The Muslims overcame and from that day on everything would change.
At the end of the battle, the pagans took to flight.
Muslims won by their faith, not military might.
In all times, the believers must remain steadfast,
Drawing strength from the trials of the Muslims of the past.
Stand for truth and justice and protect the weak,
Neither praise nor glory should we ever seek.
Even when it seems
That the Ummah's fallen down,
Don't despair, 'cause Allah can turn affairs around.
The Battle of Badr lives on in our memory.
May its heroes be honored for eternity.
'Cause they stood with Allah,
He gave them dignity.
Pass this down through the ages to your progeny.
O Allah,
Bless Your Prophet, his companions and family.
